Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, Spain
OK I’ll admit it, this museum has been on my bucket list since before it was completed and is one of the main reasons we’ve wanted to explore northern Spain for so many years.
Maman is a bronze, stainless steel, and marble sculpture by the artist Louise Bourgeois.
The sculpture, which depicts a spider, is among the world’s largest.
The building, designed by Canadian-American architect Frank Gehry, was built next to the Nervion River. A work of contemporary architecture, it has been hailed as a transformative moment in architectural culture.
American born artist Jeff Koons brought his most iconic and best-loved creation. A guard dog known as Puppy has guarded the doors of the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao with a changing mantle of tens of thousands of flowers..
Setting riverside on the grounds of the Guggenhein Museum Bistro Guggenhein Bilbao severed a variety of sandwiches, deserts, drinks, and off coarse coffee. Tourist from all over the world, business people working on computers and locals all enjoying the perfect weather and the jazz music at this thriving open air bistro.
So relaxing and pleasant we returned twice for lunch.
