GUGGENHEIN MUSEUM Bilbao, Spain
OK I’ll admit it, this museum has been on my bucket list since before it was completed and is one of the main reasons we’ve wanted to explore northern Spain for so many years.
Photography was a passion before it became a job and career, so as long as I can remember I have wanted to shoot Carnevale in Venice.

VENICE
Carnevale
Venice, Italy, comes alive during the carnival season, showcasing a mesmerizing array of costumes and masks that reflect the city's rich history and vibrant culture.
Experience the artistry and craftsmanship that makes Carnevale truly unforgettable!

Carnival began in 1162 in celebration of the Venice Republics victory over its enemy the Patriarch of Aquileia. The people of Venice gathered in the Piazza San Marco to dance and celebrate their victory.

The tradition of the mask came later as a way for different social classes to be able to mix and mingle to engage in all vices, and anti-establishment rhetoric in anonymity.

The beauty of Venice isn’t only in sights like Piazza San Marco and the Rialto Bridge, but also in quieter spaces where life goes on as it has for centuries.

Arrivederci Venezia, Grazie Mille!
The vibrant atmosphere, stunning costumes, and lively celebrations made it truly special. I can't wait to return and relive the magic again!
